Have you heard the good news? The Queensland Government’s Battery Booster Program is starting in early 2024 and will provide rebates to eligible people in Queensland who want to buy and install solar battery systems to use with new or existing rooftop solar systems.
The program was created under the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan, aimed at lowering energy bills and helping Queenslanders with cost-of-living pressures.

How do solar batteries work?
Battery systems seize the surplus solar power generated during the day and channel it into charging the battery, instead of sending it back to the grid. Consequently, even during nighttime or power interruptions, the battery kicks in to keep your solar system functioning and supplying electricity. Moreover, a battery system can ensure a steady and dependable power stream within your property.
Why solar is a good idea
Solar power isn’t just great for the environment; it’s also a smart financial move. Going solar means saving money while simultaneously contributing to the well-being of your community. It’s a simple, yet effective way to benefit both your wallet and the world around you. Embracing solar energy can make your summers brighter in more ways than one.
The Queensland Government’s Battery Booster Program is not available yet but should be here soon. Keep an eye on the website for more details and make sure you fit the criteria.
